please say a lil prayer

with a wing and a prayer i sent off my proposal to one of my FAVORITE art retreats.  I have been invited to teach at Art is…You, in 2011 and am head over heels excited!  To add this next one to my list would make me do cartwheels down the street.  I believe with all of my heart that I belong to be teaching at these functions and will give it 150 percent!

So when my step-mom told me that her friend Patti LOVES my jewelry and would be interested in a trade, I jumped all over it!!  Patti is an incredible doll maker from northern California and at one time I worked with her, learning her dollmaking ways.   I have always wanted one of her creations and now I own one!!!!!!!

I searched and searched for an organizer that took care of organizing everything that I needed organized and that said “Brenda Bliss”. I found a red leather one that might have worked–but red leather??? Nope! Pink leather -ok–but not red–So I thought–why not make one–!pockets

fabric-paper-enhansed

I am in an awesome yahoo group run by Belinda and we are doing a book study on Kelli Perkin’s new book called Stitch Alchemy.  We are in the first chapter and making fabric paper.  I don’t love mine yet and am posting them so that group members can take a peek and maybe help me out a bit….

The first piece is ok in pictures…I enhanced it.  But it doesn’t look like this in real life.  This one looks like it is…blahfabric-paper

and this one…    can use some work–but has potential…pattern-fabric

Well ladies…what do you think?
